Here,
in k=ca2 and k=ca 
i dont understand what is c and a.
But still from my perception,
i  think you are asking from chemical  eqm. chapter.
So remember for this whenever a is very very less than 0.001 or 10^-3 then,
consider k = ca^2 otherwise ca.
