Equivalence and end-point are basically the same thing.Titration is the process of determining the volumes of reagents required forjust completion of a reaction and the point at which reaction is just completed is called as equivalence point or stoichiometric end point. This is usually judged by adding very small amount of an auxillary reagent, called the indicator which produces a clear visual change as soon as the end point is overstepped, either a change in colour takes place or a turbidity is produced in the reaction mixture.Sometimes the colour change is produced when the solution from the burette is added in light excess than required for the exact completion of the reaction and in such cases one of the reactants act as a indicator which is called as self-indicator.
