formic acid is HCOOH wereas acteic acid is CH3COOH
On removal of H+,the formic acid becomes HCOO- whereas on removing H+ from acetic acid it forms CH3COO-.The acetic acid has CH3 group which due to its +I effect destabilise the negative charge and hence weaken the acid and whereas H does not exert such effect
