Hello Student
  • SF6 is chemically stable and at room temperature it does not react with any other substance. This stability comes from the symmetrical arrangement of the six fluorine atoms around the central sulphur atom. And because of this stability only it is useful in electric equipment.
  • S exhibit greater tendency for catenation than selenion due to its comeritively smaller size. Because of smaller size it can effectively form multiple bonds
  • The electron gain enthalpy value of F is less negative than chlorine because the size of F is extremely size due to which he upcoming electron does no feel so much attraction in fact it feels slightly interelectronic repulsion
