Acetophenone and Benzophenone can be distinguished using the iodoform test.
Iodoform test:
Methyl ketones are oxidized by sodium hypoiodite to give yellow ppt. of iodoform. Acetophenone being a methyl ketone responds to this test, but benzophenone doesn't

Dear student 
 When R3R2R1C reacts with TBN to form N - alkoxyanilino spin adducts, and RCHR' reacts with TBN to form both N - alkoxyanilino and Nitroxide spin addu:ts. Therefore, TBN may be used for distinguishing radicals from aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons with and without steric hindrance.
