attack of an electrophile helps in miantaning the benzene ring more stable as it is able to accomodate a charge more effectively than attack of anucleophile which will deactivate the ring and thus makes the ring more unstable

in case of haloalkene th eintermediate formed due to nucleophilic attack is more stable as compared to electrophic attack dut to tetrahedral intermediate
