Determine the empirical formula of an oxide of iron which has 69.9% iron and 30.1% dioxygen by mass. In place of dioxygen if oxygen is given in the question will the answer be effected?

No the answer will not be affected, because while finding the empirical formula u r taking the mass of oxygen as 16 but not 32 . Also oxygen and dioxygen both are represented as O2
