Nitrogen has a small size and thus can form a stable triple bond with carbon but phosphorus due to its larger size can not form multiple bonds with C , Hence, CN- ion is known but not CP-

nitrogen having small size as well as high electronegativity can form bond with carbon but phoshporus does not

Nitrogen has a small size and can form a stable triple bond with carbon atom but phosphorus due to its large size cannot form multiple bond with carbon. Hence, CN⁻ ion is known but CP⁻ ion is not known.
