calculate the freezing point of solution when 1.9 g of mgcl2 (M=95g/mol) was dissolved in50g of water , assuming mgcl2 undergoes complete ionization.(kf for water=1.86K kg/mol)

molality of MgCl2 => (1.9/95)*1000/50 = > 0.4
For complete ionization i that is vant Hoff factor is equal to the total no. of dissociated ions.
Therfore for MgCl2, i = 1 + 2 => 3
Freezing Point, deltaTf = 3*1.86*0.4 => 2.232.
Now freezing point => 0’ – 2.323’ => -2.32’C
