A compound contains two types of atoms - X and Y and
since It crytallises in a cubic lattice with atom X at the corners of the unit cell and atomsY at the body centres.
X atoms are at the corner of the unit cell therefore no of atoms=8*1/8=1
and Y are at the body center therefore no of Y atom is 1
the simplest formula of the compund is XY
