can x rays produced from hydrogen?give reason with your answer.

Hello Student,
Electromagnetic radiations of different wavelength are produced due to transition of electrons from one orbit to another orbit in hydrogen atom,
The wavelength of radiation depends on the difference in the energy of the two orbits or in more precise way energy levels.
UV, IR and visible range of radiations are usually obtained from hydrogen atom. Practically it is not possible to obtain x rays from hydrogen atom because these radiations are of very high energy.
