why Hg+2 &Hg2^+2 salts are colour less

hg atomic number is 80 .in the oxidation state of +2 it loses two electrons then it has comlpletely filled d-orbitals and also in the Hg2^2+ loses 1 electron .in this salts d-d transition is not possible so they are colourless.
