If the mth and nth wavelength is taken as the wavelength of light released when the electron jumps from mth level to 1st level, and nth level to the 1st level, respectively.
On using the Rydberg formula, one can get the \frac{\lambda m}{\lambda n} = \frac{1-(1/n^{2})}{1-(1/m^{2})}
