can atoms be crushed ??????????? I read in a newspaper that using particle accelerater we can destroy the atoms{we crush them to simpler particles like quarks and glouns} this is exactly opposite to that how atoms were formed...................................before universe was formed ............ so if this is possible then law of conservation of energy is voileted??????????????what you thinh about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Conservation of eergy still holds true..

A particle accelerator is a device that uses electromagnetic fields to propel charged particles to high speeds and to contain them in well-defined beams. An ordinary CRT television set is a simple form of accelerator. There are two basic types: electrostatic and oscillating field.
