Why pyruvic acid gives IODOFORM test. I think it should give this test. It is a acid and will react with base

Hello Dear,
Iodoform test is done to identify CO-CH3 group in aldehyde & ketones.
See the structure of Pyruvic acid.
It can react with base as well but that will not be an identification test.
