the reaction will only be carried out by passing the h2 gas with the boiled xylene solution , 
without the presence of boiled xylene , the reduction will not going to be happen . 
here propanoyl chloride are subject to reduction with h2 , with the presence of boiled xylene , so, its almost nessasary here in rosenmund reaction .
