Dear student
In aldol a\alpha-H is lost as a proton thereby creating a negative centre i.e. carbanion. In case of isopropyl aldehyde there is formation of tertiary carbanion which is not stable and hence wouldn’t undergo aldol inspite of the presence of\alpha-H.
