Why CH3 C(C2H5)2CH2Br IUPAC name can be written as 3-(bromomethyl)-3-methyl pentane?

No, as ch2br is not bromomethyl( ch3br) and one of the conditions of iupac naming is you have to consider the main chain with highest number of carbon. So in this case you can`t consider the main chain with 3 carbon atoms. So the name should be 1-Bromo-2-methylbutane.
