while determining the stability of carbocation how can we judge which factor is dominating. 1) in a molecule with cross conjugation and having 8 total alpha hyperconjugative hydrogen. 2) molecule with linear conjugation but having only 5 total hyperconjugative hydrogen which is more stable and why?

We consider:
1.The factor that cross conjugation as it stabilises the carbocation from both the direction dominates.
2.Whereas in linear conjution the stabilsation takes place from only one direction.
3.Plus more number alpha H-atoms too help the carbocation to stabilise.
