Chiral compound is that compound which contains at least one chiral carbon.A chiral carbon is that carbon which is attached to four different groups. In the above options, option (a) 2,4-Dimethyl-1,3-hexadiene contains carbon containing four different groups. The carbons at 3 and 4 in the chains are attatched to four different groups.Carbon at 3 position contains propenyl and hydrogen and carbon at 4 positon has one methyl and other ethyl group. So this will be an chiral compound.
