t-butyl alcohol is more soluble and n-butyl the least
  • t-butyl alcohol is freely soluble in water.
  • s-butyl alcohol is soluble at about 290 g/L.
  • n-butyl alcohol is soluble at about 73 g/L.
  • isobutyl alcohol is soluble at about 70 g/L.

This is because the size of the four-carbon group (more specifically, the volume of the four-carbon group) is smallest for t-butyl, and largest for n-butyl and isobutyl.
