The answer is b i.e. b will be more acidic than a. In compound a the OCH3 group is attatched at Ortho position which will cause +m effect and reduce the acidity as acidity is inversely proportional to+m effect. In compound b the OCH3 is attached at meta and it doesn`t get the +m effect so it will be more acidic. Note that both compounds get -i effect.
