cross-conjugation is two parallel conjugated sets of atom both terminating on a common atom. This parallel character of such conjugation makes conjugation on common atom less effective

Cross-conjugationis a special type ofconjugation where we have set of three or more Pi bonds but all the pi-bonds interact doesn’t interact with each other by conjugation.

In benzophenone the cross conjugation is there. Stability and destability depends on type of molecule we can’t conclude in general.
