Esterfication is the process for the synthesis of the ester by reacting the alchols with acids mainly Carboxylic acid and also with acid halides and alchols to form anhydrides and then further to reduce into ester.
This reaction takes place at RDS step which is steadily smooth and slow.
Mechanism: tHe H2O molcule gets departed OH of Carboxylic and H from the alchol and the ester is formed in the presence of H2SO4 reagent on heating.
