1) All matter is made of atoms. Atoms are indivisible and indestructible
2- Compounds are formed by a combination of two or more different kinds of atoms.
he considered atom to be a non divisible particle , and gave all of his theory , like atoms do particpate in the chemical reaction etc
but when scientist found that atom can be divisible , his theory become invalid .

Dalton's atomic theory proposed that all matter was composed of atoms, indivisible and indestructible building blocks. While all atoms of an element were identical, different elements had atoms of differing size and mass.

as we now that all matter is made of atoms and compounds are made up of two or more different atoms.according to him atoms can never be divisible but later on it proved to be wrong as scientist searched on it a lot and then found that atom can be divisible and can participate in chemical reaction.hence his thory was proved to be wrong
