Aldehydes except formaldehyde react with ammonia to form aldehyde ammonia adducts.It is found that benzaldehyde(C6H5CHO) reacts with ammonia(NH3),to form hydrobenzamide.Reaction is as follows-

3C6H5CHO + 2NH3 ---------->(C6H5CH=N)2-CHC6H5 + 3H2O

3 molecules of water get removed during this reaction.
