Narcotic analgesics are addictive drugs. They are derivatives of opium. These are used for
the relief of severe pains such as post operative pain, cardiac pain, cancer pain

A tranquilizer is a drug that acts on the central nervous system and is used to calm, decrease anxiety, or help a person to sleep. Often called depressants because they suppress the central nervous system and slow the body down,
they used to treat the mental disorder and problems related to brain .
Example – Haldol, Thorazine, Prolixin, Etrafon and Compazine. Xanax, Klonopin, Valium and Ativan ..

Equinil is used in controlling depression and hypertension.

theese effect centralnervous system on over or frequent use. they induce sleep, they cause illusion of state of happiness. these are addictive. eg morphine, codene etc
