Dear student

Please ask only one question in one thread.

1.)
Size of the atoms, number of valence electrons, degree of ionic character.

HELLO THERE!

How to determine Pi-bond strength?
Here’s the answer:

The Pi bond strength depends upon:
=> Size of atoms that are attached with Pi bond: If the atoms are of small size, then they are closely held and hence the bond strength is more.

=> Extent of Overlapping.

Now, Head On Overlapping is more effective than Side-wise overlapping, and pi bonds are formed by side-wise overlapping, so they are weaker than sigma bonds, that are formed by head on overlapping.

In case you have any more doubt, please let me know.
