sn1 means uni molecular nucleophilic substitution reaction where as sn2 means bi moleculer nucleophilic substitution reaction.sn1 we can observe in secondary alcohols and for sn2 primary alcohols.in sn1 reaction the rate of the reaction is depends on the concentration of neucleophile where as in sn2 depends on concentration of nucleophile and alkyl halide.
