What are acid and base sensitive groups? Kindly give some examples...

acid sensitive groups are those like which can be attacked by an acid (ex. -OH, alkenes, alkynes etc) ie in short they are basic in nature. so they undergo clemmensen"s reduction (reduction in acidic medium).... base sensitive groups are acidic in nature (ex. -X, -COOH, -COOX etc). so They undergo wolff kishner reduction (reduction in basic medium)..... i think this is it... :)
