The reaction of 4-Bromo benzyl chloride with sodium cyanide in ethanol leads to the formation of ?
The answer is not 2,4 bromophenyl acetonitriyl as said by Mr.Umakant Biswal when I had asked the question previously.

From the principle of DIrective influence if  ther is more than two groups on benzene and if both shows -M or -I effect then the elctrophile would attack near more -M effect shoeing group.
Therefore,
CN- would attack near Br. .i.e at 3rd position.
