-In sn1 rxn more the stable carbonation more favourable the rxn is but in sn2 we see hindrance more the hindrance stability will be less
-sn1 is unimolecular and sn2 is bimolecular 
-sn1 two steps but sn2 single step
-in sn1 first step is slow and hence RDS (rate determining step)
-in sn1 we get racemic mixture while in sn2 we get inversion
