soda lime decarboxylation process
sodium benzoate + NaOH + CaO + heat
is the product benzene
if yes how is it feasible to break to C-C bond to form CO2

Sodium benzoate is C6H5COONa...
So...
C6H5(COONa + NaO)H + CaO  ------>Na2CO3 + C6H6...
This is decarboxylation reaction...
NaOH and CaO is taken in 3:1 ratio...it is sodalime...
CO2 is not liberated...
