Chlorination and bromination are the only favourable once because their exothermic and the others are endothermic. bromination is lower and more selective then chlorination because bromine atom is less reactive hydrogen abstraction agent than a chlorine atom.

alkane reactivity with Cl ; primary

alkane reactivity with Br ; primary

so Br selectively gives only ter. substitution compound
