Salicylaldehyde is more volatile as it has the structure associated with OH group which forms the intra molecular H bonding with the COOH functional group itself at ortho psotion and hence the volatility gets increased.
Salicyaldehyde structre has benzene with COOH group attached and one -OH group at the ortho position.
