In certain molecules or polyatomic ions where the bonding cannot be expressed by one single Lewis formula and it actually because of delocalised electrons.
So. we can say that it is the process where delocalisation of pi bond or electrons with in the molecules and ions.
In organic Chemistry : Delocalisation of pi bond when alternate sigma -Pi bond is there .
