CH2=CH-CH2-OH + H2 ---> CH3-CH2-CH2-OH
(Compound A/ prop-1-enol) undergoes reduction by addition of H2 to form propanol/Compound B.
 
CH3-CH2-CH2-OH + HBr ---> CH3-CH2-CH2-Br + H2O
Compound B reacts with HBr to form Compound C or Bromo propane and water.
 
CH3-CH2-CH2-BR + KOH ---> CH3- CH= CH2 + KBr + H2O
Compound C reacts with hot conc. KOH to form Compound D or Ethene.
