maxwell distribution of speed for molecules are sqrt (3RT/M)
 
now, as per maxwell at particular temperature the molecules fraction exerts same speed can be considered as Constant.
In order to keep the same fraction for the molecules in swme speed range can be achieved by doubling the number of molecules.
 
hence number of molecules = 2n
