It is 2nd time I am posting this question.First of all I have a doubt why OH - attack at double bond as both are nucleophille.And if so,then why Br - don't attack on double bond as it is more strong nucleophille than OH - ,OCH 3 - and D - .Please sir clear my both doubs in detail .

all three reactions are similar but they are NOT NUCLEOPHILIC ADDITIONS. double bond is a source of electron and nucleophile wont attack them . so your theory of br- attack on double bond is wrong. also option B is correct. HBr acts as an acid here and as a catalyst
