Dear student
A undergoes carbylamine reaction thus it has to be primary amine. let’s say RNH2

RNH2 + KOH + CHCl3 -----> RNC (B)
B undergoes reduction with LiAlH4 ,
RNC -----> RNH-CH3

Now comparing it with the product we get,
R-NH-CH3 = CH3-CH2-NH-CH3
thus A = CH3-CH2-NH2
