CrO3 is an oxidising reagent used to converts secondary alcohol to ketone , Primary alcohol to first aldehyde then to carboxylic acid (CrO3+H2SO4+H2O is known as Jones reagent) and give no reaction with territory alcohol.
In the given question is Beta-keto acid is produced then is will decarboxylise radially (6- membered transition state).NOTE:- ONLY BETA-KETO ACID UNDERGOES DECARBOXYLATION ON SLIGHTLY HEATING OR IT IS OBVIOUS TO UNDERSTOOD IS NOT MENTIONED IN REACTION.
