Neo,sec, iso, tert these are all prefix used for naming Organic compounds.Neo is used when the Organic compounds contain min 5 C atoms and and At least 1 C atom is quarternary that is attached to 4 other C atoms.Sec stands for secondary when functional group is attached to C which is further attached to 2 C atoms.Simillarly tert is tertiary when C attatched to 3 C atoms.Iso is used when 2nd last C atom of chain has the Functional group general used for naming Organic compounds having min 4 C atoms with the exception of Iso propyl

The prefix "neo" is used when all but two carbons form a continuous chain, and these two carbons are part of a terminal tert-butyl group.the prefix "iso"is used when all the carbon atom form straight chain except one carbon atom. the prefix "sec"is used when functional grp is attached to secondary carbon atom. "tet" is used when functional grp is attached to tertiary carbon atom

Iso: all carbon atoms in a single chain except one carbon atom.
Neo:all carbon atoms in a single chain except two carbon atoms.
Sec:functional group attached to secondary carbon atom.
Tert:functional group attached to tertiary carbon atom.
