Main chain of carbons contain 3 C ( Hence Propane [ prop- ] )
In nomenclature carboxylic acid functional group has highest priority than phenyl.
So Carbon of carboxylic acid is C1. Double bond is at position C2 and phenyl group is in carbon 3.
so the IUPAC name of the compound is:
3-phenylprop-2-enoic acid
