Low spincomplexes withstrong field ligandsabsorb light at shorter wavelengths (higher energy) andhigh spincomplexes with weakfield ligandsabsorb light at longer wavelengths (lowerenergy)

According to me the answer should be yes as a strong ligand creates much energy difference between eg and t2g orbital and the electron cannot jump into t2g orbital
