Hi

Iron replaces H from HCl to produce Iron(ii) chloride and Hydrogen gas.
Iron(ii) chloride is light green solution.

Fe(s) + 2HCl(aq) → FeCl2(aq) + H2(g)

Its a type of redox reaction. In this iron is oxidised and H2 is reduced.
