For reduction of 1mole chlorine gas 2moles electrons is released at anode which moves towards the cathode, and if 6.0223×10^23 electrons moving it means half mole chlorine gas is formed.
 Mass of 1 mole of chlorine Cl2 gas= 35.5×2= 71
mass of half mole chlorine gas =
half of 71 = 35.5
