Answer:

The Rosenmund reaction is catalyzed by pollution or barium sulphate. BaSO4 reduce activity of polludium. Because Pd being a strong reducing agent it will further reduce Aldehyde to Alcohol. Hence, BaSO4 acts as poison for Pd.
