According to Drago's rule, PH3 does not have hybridization. Drago rule states that , if –1)the central atom has at least one lone pair of electron on it.2) the central atom belongs to group 13,14 ,15 or 16 and is from 3rd to 7th period then , THERE IS NO NEED TO CONSIDER HYBRIDIZATION OF THAT ELEMENT.

hybridization does not occurs in the phosphine molecule
because 1. central atom belongs third or higher period
2.central atom has  1 lone pair.
3.the electronegativity of terminal atom is less then carbon
