If I am Given Two compounds How can I know which is more acidic or basic? Refer to the below question for example.

The answer is b) A-II, B-I, C-I, D-II
The reasons are as follows:-
A) We know that any group attached at the ortho position increases the acidity of the benzyl group          substituent (Ortho effect). So, 2-Methyl Benzoic acid is more acidic.
B) CH3+ is having +I effect which decreases the acidity in a simple ring. So, Cyclohexanecarboxylic        acid is more acidic.
The cases are vice versa for basicity, so I think you are able to understand that on your own.
