Simple , use formula ,
{2^n}(if terminals groups attached are different)
{2^(n-1)+2^((n-1)/2){if terminals group s attached is similar and is odd}
{2^(n-1)+2^(n-1/2)}({If terminal groups attached are similar and even}
n = no. of stereocentres(from where different stereo isomers can be made or simply the no of double bonds)
